Gold is not acting like a traditional hedge against equity markets or inflation, says Capital Link International CEO Brett McGonegal.
The price of gold is currently pacing the rise in stock markets, he said. “If you’re looking to hedge, I’m not sure gold is the way to do it,” he said on CNBC’s Squawk Box show. McGonegal is also a principal investor in Asia Times.
